Product description states "Luxurious velvet backing" but blanket was backed in micro fleece just like the other faux fur blankets for sale at much lower prices. I specifically purchased this blanket because I wanted to match the black velvet patches in my bedspread/quilt with the "velvet" backing in this black mink throw but was disappointed that the product description was intentionally inaccurate.
I contacted the company's customer service and was told that the blanket was backed in "faux velvet." After explaining that there is no such material as "faux velvet" and that the product description states "velvet," not "faux velvet," I was then told that the material is called "velvet boa" which is apparently a deceptive name for micro fleece.
The faux fur is nice and soft, but I will be exchanging it for a much less expensive throw since the "luxury" quality that I paid for was just not there. Nice blanket but misrepresented in the product description and not worth the price.
