This blanket/throw is wonderfully soft on either the fur or velvet sides. A word of caution: I advise against settling down to watch a movie and snuggling in it. You will be snoring long before the end of the movie. I bought the 60 by 86 version so I could fold it under my feet. an still have full length coverage. I have two, fox and sable and have ordered another along with a white mink throw for my mother as a holiday present. The furs look so authentic and my Bengel cat freaks-out if I put him on them. My Siamese luxurates in them. My best friend tried so hard to find flaws..she couldn't. I plan on buying more as gifts for my family members.
